Organization Description This program of DSHS's Adult Protective Services Division provides adult protective services to elderly and disabled adults. It investigates allegations of neglect, abuse, financial exploitation, and abandonment of vulnerable elderly and disabled persons and provides services to remedy the situation. If the person is in immediate danger, call 911. Phone hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Vulnerable frail elderly, dependent adults, persons with developmental disabilities, residents of state nursing facilities, boarding homes, adult family homes, soldiers homes, or other licensed long-term care facilities, adults receiving in-home services through licensed health care agency, hospice, or in-home nursing service, and recipients of self-directed care.
